NE Minneapolis Wedding

Billie and Joe are exactly the type of people we love working with. They are easy to talk to and have fun ideas, and we were more than happy to help brand their wedding. At Billie’s request, we created an aesthetic based around dive bars and pizza joints. It all came together in the form of custom illustrations, ad-lib RSVP cards, and a placemat/menu that tells their wedding itinerary and story as a couple.

“We like the dog more than the cat.”

That’s what Billie told me on our first call. She and Joe wanted their wedding to remind them of the things they love and the neighborhood they call home. We were immediately sold on the idea of creating a wedding brand inspired by everything that makes NE Minneapolis great — dive bars, cheap beer, old signage and good company. Billie told us to draw what we wanted, just include the dog and cat and make it feel like a pizza party in Northeast. Thus the pizza cat was born.
